Storyline:
Director Murari Gundam seems to have taken ‘Hum Tum Ek Kamre Mine Band Hong’ too seriously, coming up with an experimental concept and writing the story, screenplay, and dialogue. The story begins with the introduction of the main character. Sameerana is a beautiful girl who believes she deserves a partner that combines at least all Telugu movie heroes. Pavan, a talented musician, is a selfish but down-to-earth boy who loves his musician grandfather the most.
So what does it take to break their prejudices? Creators use mall elevators to bring strangers together to explore each other’s personalities. The first half works very well when a bright and energetic young man goes about his day: training in the gym, singing in his garden with music, upbeat music to get you in the mood. Telling the story within the four walls is experimental and works well at first. From guitar soundholes to elevator vents, every angle has been explored to visualize what’s going on inside the elevator.

Additionally, creators incorporated allegory and personification to tell the story. A commenting goldfish, actress Sunny Leone on a poster, and a mouse about to eat cake are all metaphors for this romantic drama.
Most of the time the plot only affects the main couple. Avika Ghor looks liberated, brave and beautiful. It’s different and fresh from the previous movies. Sai Ronak, on the other hand, was easily described as a cheerful, fun-loving and charming person. Each character of Avika and Sai Ronak was impressive. Other actors in the film have limited roles and appear at the beginning and end.
The film’s biggest flaw is that the second half is not very engrossing and stretches out too long, which the audience may find boring. For some reason, the action in the elevator and outdoors in the second half doesn’t feel organic. Opportunity missed. Cinematography by MN Bal Reddy, music by Shravan Bharadwaj, editing by KSR is fantastic.
Overall, this romantic drama starring Avika Goh and Sai Ronak has an experimental tone. The actors are impressive, but it needs a better script and screenplay. Corn kernels did not burst. Written and directed by Murali Naga Srinivas Gandham, Popcorn is a novel concept revolving around a boy and girl trapped in an elevator. Murari Naga Srinivas Gundam capitalizes on this, giving the film a chance to explore in a decent way, but completely dilutes the audience’s interest with an abrupt narration.
In summary, the Popcorn has a good technical pad and main pair performance, but struggles with a dull and uneven presentation.
